The JMD on the granting of a diesel subsidy was published in the Government Gazette.

The subsidy on diesel will last until the end of April, but there is provision for an extension if needed. According to the fuel price observatory of the Ministry of Development, after the implementation of the JMD, the average price of diesel power, on Sunday (April 3rd), fell to 1.92 euros per liter.

The amount of the subsidy amounts to EUR 0.12 before VAT per litre of oil. The subsidy is fully passed on to the final consumers of the internal market in compliance with state aid rules (pump price).

The subsidized quantities of diesel can be disposed of by the gas stations and consumed by the final consumers beyond the month of April 2022, provided that there are quantities on the market.

The refineries send within 20 days from the end of the month of the subsidy to the General Directorate of Financial Services (GDIOU) of the Ministry of Finance, with a relevant certificate from the certified auditor-accountant of the refinery, the request for payment of the aid on the liters they disposed of and invoiced, including the aggregated statements of sales of diesel supplied by them and the aggregated sales statements sent to them by the companies. fuel trading.

Fuel importers shall send within 20 days of the expiry of the month of the subsidy to the General Directorate of Financial Services (GGU) of the Ministry of Finance, with a relevant certificate from the certified auditor-accountant of the fuel importing company, the request for payment of the aid on the litres they have supplied and invoiced within the month, including the aggregated sales statements of diesel supplied by them and the aggregated sales statements made available by them. were sent to them by the fuel trading companies, calculating any impairment thereof, based on the tariffs of the marketing companies to the service stations.

The General Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance proceeds to the liquidation and payment of the subsidy in accordance with the above documents.

The subsidy shall be paid to the beneficiaries no later than the end of the month following the placing on the internal market of the fuel by the refineries and fuel importers.
