Light on the 49 crops eligible in the organic notice
With 49 eligible crops, three farms, beehives and beneficiaries old and new organic farmers, organic farming is announced in accordance with the institutional framework published (Government Gazette 6266/B’/2021).
This is a programme of ECU 490 million. with the final call (expected within days) divided into the following actions:
Action 11.1.1: Aid for conversion to organic practices and production methods in agriculture. Eligible are parcels that are not included in a contract with a Certification and Control Body until 31/12/2020.
Action 11.2.1: Aid for the maintenance of organic practices in agriculture: Eligible are the parcels which are included in a contract with a Certification and Control Body until 31/12/2020.
The eligible crops are:
Arable crops: Fodder and edible corn, Winter cereals, Rice, Alfalfa, Fodder Legumes, Legumes, Cotton, Flax, Rapeseed, Sunflower, Sorghum, Aromatic plants, Tobacco
Perennial-arboreal-shrubs: Olives, Raisins, Table grapes, wine grapes, Apple trees, Stone fruits, Citrus fruits, Pomegranate, Kiwi, Fig, Mikrokarpes/Asses (goji berry, blueberry, raspberry, etc.), Avocado, Akrodria.
Vegetables: Leafy Vegetables, Cruciferous/Bulbous/Carrot, Potato, Artichoke, Outdoor and greenhouse green beans, Greenhouse green beans, Peas (chloros), Broad beans (green), Okra (pod), Watermelon outdoor, Watermelon outdoor and greenhouse, outdoor and greenhouse melon, outdoor and greenhouse cucumber, Outdoor cucumber and greenhouse, Sweet potato, Tomato outdoor and greenhouse, Kitchen aromatics (Fennel, Dill, Celery, Parsley, Oregano, etc.), Wild Vegetables (Radish, Chard, Vlita, Spinach, Stamnagathi, etc.), Outdoor pepper and greenhouse, Eggplant outdoors and greenhouse.
